Track Review of “Wild” by The Japanese House

Song: "Wild”

Artist: The Japanese House

Genre: Indie Pop, Alternative

PEACH MACHINE

Amber Bain, under the moniker of The Japanese House, released her first full length LP “Good at Falling” on March 1st . There are a few songs that stick-out to me, but this track (“Wild”) encapsulates what I like about her project. Her infamous androgynous vocals come in and float atop wavy seas of reverb-filled guitar which glide through layered synthesizers and deliver a simple complexity. “Good at Falling” was partly recorded at Bon Iver’s Fall Creek Studio and was produced by George Daniel (the 1975) while under Healy’s (the 1975) label - and it shows. Check-out this dreamy listen below.
